Main Street Nevada has an active Board of Directors. Internally, they are required to be on one of our committees in addition to the Board and they are expected to help fundraise for the organization too. Externally, they are active within the community, as our Board Members and Executive Director also volunteer for 16 other organizations/committees in Nevada and Story County. Because of this, we are quite connected to the community and feel we have good pulse on the happenings. We also know how important collaborations can be and feel we are easily able to make those partnerships happen due to the connections we have.

If you are looking to get more involved in the community, we can help get you pointed in the right direction. The good news is that every organization is looking for some new people to help carry out their missions.
We know that not everyone is interested in joining an organization or heading up a project. One-time volunteers are just as needed in the community and anyone who picks up a volunteer “shift” for any organization is appreciated. The important thing is that we all work together to create good things for Nevada.
